5 in 1 Beauty Kit: Review and Details...

Hiyaa Everyone :D

I am really excited, yayy!! Oh, you must be wondering why so??
Excited yes, because today I am going to share with you a very interesting product :)
And, its a Gadget..WOOT WOOT :D

This is a Facial Massager Kit, with 5 kinds of brushes included.
Available~ Facebook Page
Price~ 1400 Bdt ( around $15)

"About the Product"
When I first saw the product, the first thing that popped into my mind is Clarisonic Skin Care System. This equally famous and raved among the beauty community, system range from around $150-200. A similar low cost version of it is Olay ProX System, cost around $30.
But what bugs me is, this facial kit is nowhere comparable!!.

This kit is just a fling of concept adopted to create an illusion of the similarity, but then again it looks like it is indeed a similar sort of gadget, but it is not!!. To me, this kit is merely a cheap form of gadget to save my time and energy. I can never compare it with the ingenious Clarisonic or Olay ProX.

The reason is because, those systems are of very high quality and the brush heads are sturdy, and of very good quality. Moreover, the Clarisonic Systems are made only for the face, where this kit has multiple use, and made in China!!!

"Now lets actually talk about the Kit"
Packaging
The Kit came all bubble wrapped, within a plastic packet like this.

The main massager is a small gadget the size of a hand. It is made of plastic like materials with white and purple at opposite sides. It is convinient, portable, user friendly to use.
The gadget/massager has on/off switch button which is very easy to use and works on batteries only.
The brushes are also made out of plastic, and very easy to plug in and out from the gadget. The brushes may look cheap, but they are of good quality and works well.

The kit comes with 5 kinds of brushes. Each has its own individual purpose.
  • Latex~ This brush works to clean up makeup from eye area.
  • Exfoliater~ This brush has four circles that help to massage the face area and exfoliate in the process.
  • Brush~ This brush is very helpful for manicure or pedicure purpose.
  • Sponge~ This brush basically cleanse the face.
  • Pumic Stone~ This brush is a circular purple Pumice stone, that can be used to clean the back of feet.
"How I Use It"

I use the sponge brush for cleansing. Currently, I am using the Eversoft 100% Organic Deep Nourishing Facewash. It is a cream based facewash, which are very much ideal for combo-oily skin like mine.

After moistening the face, I take a little bit of the cream wash on my hands and dab all over the face like a cream. Then I use the massager. Remember, do not keep the massager in one area more than few seconds. Keep rolling more more balanced cleansing.
I use this 3 times a week.

Then I use the circular brush for exfoliation. Now, I am using the St Ives Apricot Scrub. A friend of mine suggested me this, and initially I did liked the product. But now, it seem too harsh for my face as the product is on the granular side. I sometimes feel, my face is on burning from the harshness of the granules, and I get worried!! So, I decided to go back to my usual st Ives scrub :) phew...

After cleansing, I take some scrub on my palm and evenly dab along the face and neck. Then using the exfoliater, I massage all over. It feels so good, so pampered. The same tip goes with this too, do not keep more then few seconds in one area. Afterwards, clean your face and dab some toner and  moisturizer and your as squeaky clean, pampered and refreshed as like after the visit from parlors :D
I use this 2 times a week

The other two brushes works more for the Manicure and Pedicure purpose. The brush help clean the nails and back of the hands and legs during mani-pedi, and the Pumin stone help to clean out the dead skin from the back of the feet.

"Important to know"

"Overall View"

Final Verdict~ I am happy with the use of the product. It has 5 brushes with different functions. The kit is useful to keep my skin clean and refreshed. I did realized that, my skin becomes soft and the blood circulation from the massage gives my skin a slight glow, that stay all day.

I expect, from regular use I may reap some more benefits. It may not give benefits like the actual clarisonic but for the price I am quite happy with the quality of the kit.

And what more do I need, when I have a whole beauty kit at my service :D!!
I hope You all liked the post. Thank You.

Fancy Nails...

Hello Everyone, Happy Sunday :D

Today I am in the mood to share some of my fancy "still learning" nail art. I really suck in nail arts!! Until now, I have always believed nails arts aren't my thingy..all those genius people doing so many beautiful illustrations on their nails..my goodness!! I hardly can do justice to plain nail polishes, although I do have good nails, weirdo Me :P!!

After watching different people, I had the inspiration. I clapped my back and told myself, "Girl lets give it a try, hmmm". And the possible verdicts, here it goes :).

PS: I am not that good, so pardon my messy nails :P:P

I hope You all liked the post. Thank You :D
Lots of Love <3

ELF Mineral Foundation: Reviews and Swatches

Hiyaa Everyone :D

Did I ever mention that I am a powder girl?? I mean, seriously, I just love powders whether it be foundation or just a translucent powder. I find powders to be quick and a best friend when I am running out late for class. But today, I am going to talk about a favorite mineral foundation of mine from ELF :D.

About Product:

"Our weightless Mineral Foundation will help you achieve healthier illuminating skin. Infused with key Vitamin E for rich antioxidants that hydrate and replenish the skin. Our powder foundations blend naturally into the skin, and are so light that they work with your skin color to create a perfect color match. All of our foundations contain SPF 15 and are mineral based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes."
Price: $5

My take on the product:

Looking at the very first time, the foundation comes in a transparent circular tub with black plastic lid, but the tub is very small. Then again for a price range of only $3 (after discount), I felt its worth it. Opening the lid, there is plastic barrier which is a good idea, though I removed it anyway.

The only issue I have is unhygienic possibility of the packaging. It is messy to use the powder from the tube, and I need to pour some on to the lid, which sometimes makes it more messier and dirty as powders tend to fly everywhere!!

Among the four shades available on the site, I chose the Light, as it seemed to be the one matchable (site swatch is so confusing!!)

As the foundation is mineral, it comes in finely grinned skin tone powder form. The powder is very smooth to the touch, feels velvety on the skin.
When I first used the product, it seemed too white for my yellow tone skin, leaving a white cast on the face. Then after a minute or two, it seemed to settle into the skin leaving a velvety, good skin. Honestly, I love the finish of this powder.

Being a mineral foundation, it has no parabens and other harmful chemicals that are usually bad for skin, but it hardly fulfills the need of coverage. The powder is good for controlling oil and mattifying skin, and covers as little as balancing the skin texture but it does not work towards covering any acne scar or blemishes.

Another Con of this product is, the powder tend to cake up if used after liquid foundation. As the powder itself is a foundation, therefore it is wise to use it on its own then with any liquid form of makeup.

Overall, I love this as my morning go to powder. The powder leaves a beautiful velvety glowing skin, which I like and staying power is also decent. Usually I love the ELF Studio powder brush to use with the product.

My Final Verdict

I love this product and it is a good one to try for the price. I will not suggest it, if you are looking for a powder with coverage quality. But for a quick skin balancing glowing skin, this works just fine. But then again there are many other mineral foundation such as Maybelline Mineral Power foundation which may work just tad bit better than this with the same price tag.
I hope You all enjoyed the post. Thank You :D

DIY: My Very Own Z Palette..

Hello Everyone :D
 I am back again..Yayyy..:P..Big Lol..
Dissapearing from here has become a kind of a routine for me right..*sigh*.. I promise, This time I will be here and share lots of love and product reviews with you all.

So, the exciting part of today's post..lalalallaaa...I made my own freaking Z palette..from a DVD box *#*. Can you believe it..haah!! I did made a similar post on this stuff. Check it out Here

Well, actually the idea is not original. I randomly found it on the You Tube. Honestly, I did not believe it at first of the possibility of a DVD box. Later watching all of it, I had this idea, hmm why not try it out :D

And, Tadaaaaa...this is how it turned out..

I have made two for the spare eye shadows I have.

              This is my first attempt
I have wrapped up the box in a Purple-White art paper.

I have successfully de-poted this shades.
The round shades cost only 15 Bdt, and the triangular ones are ELF $1 Quads.

After the success of the first palette, I decided to make another one, but in more decorative form.
Tried the same formula with the paper, only decorated the box more with rhinestones and orange beads.

This are the depoted shades from the Maybelline( left) and ELF (right).
The one rectangular pot is a Maybelline Blush that I love so much, I have definitely hit pan.

The Final Product..I am so Proud :D

Things Needed:
  • DVD Box
  • Art Papers (of your choice)
  • Paper Cutter
  • Paper Board, cut in shape as Base
  • Fevicol Glue
  • Decoration (optional)
I intend to do the "How to" in another post, a there is a lot of explanation required.
I hope You all liked enjoyed the post. Thank You.

MUA Going For Gold Palette: Reviews and Statches

Hello Everyone,
Happy Thursday :)

You wont believe how lazy I have become this days!! So lazy that I keep on delaying blogging!!Argg me and my laziness!! I have so much tardiness issues and this always brings trouble for me..yikes!!!

So back to the Beginning...Today I am going to talk about one of the First Palettes I got myself from the very famous brand this days..Makeup Academy(MUA). This brand mainly based on UK and well known for its cheaper but good quality makeup. MUA cosmetics mainly based on website, and sometimes available on various drugstores.

MUA has a lot of neutral and colorful palettes, but among all those beautiful much talked ones, I chose to go with this Limited Edition palette " Going For Gold" eyeshadow palette. Well there is a reason behind choosing it. I do have decent colors on my collection, but I wanted some decent gold and silver shades. I have been eyeing this palette from the moment it released and finally grabbed it a month back.

Availability: I bought mine from a FB Page or you can find it in  www.muastore.uk
Price: 4pounds ( around 600 Bdt)

What MUA says:
To celebrate the much anticipated 2012 London Olympics, MUA has introduced the champion of all make-up palettes, a limited edition Going for Gold Palette!
Made up of 10 fabulously shimmering eyeshadow shades in the new square pans, MUA urges you to get in the winning mood and go über glamorous to cheer on your team. Whether you’re going for a subtle highlighting effect or attention-grabbing statement eyes, you will be sure to dazzle with the Olympians.

My take on the Product:

Starting with the packaging..the palette comes in a plastic black case with a transparent lid to see the shades. I must say, the packaging looks cheap but not to the touch. For the price, the case is sturdy enough and the clasp has strong snap. At the back, there is a small introduction and details of the shades. The shades have no names but numbers and brief illustrations on how o apply certain shades. As a whole, I liked the packaging.

This palette contains different shades of golden, silver and bronzed shades. Some are matte and some are shimmery.

As from the swatches above, some shades are impressively pigmented. The top two shades and the bottom first shades are matte and as you can see they have decent pigmentation. All the other shades are all shimmery and they all are beautiful colors to work with. My favorites are the bottom last two shades~ the bronzed and silver shades.

The only complain I have is with the top fourth silver shade, which is more on the glittery side and hardly has any color. This is suppose to be a good highlight but the only thing that remains on the lids are the glitters, so its a no-no for me!! I thought the golden shades will be mind blowing, but they are not so much only one or two goldenish shade really impressed me actually.
But overall, I am very happy with the color range and the variation.

As for quality, it is pretty good actually. The shades are soft to the touch, glides on beautifully on the lids and the payoff of color is also very good. And what more do I need, when it looks so good on the pictures :)

Pros:
  • Beautiful Colors
  • Good Pigmentation
  • Variety of colors: Matt and Shimmer
  • Soft to touch
  • Glides on the lids beautifully
  • Good Packaging
  • Affordable
Cons:
  • Not available locally
  • Limited only to golden and silver shades.
  • Some shimmery shades are hard to work with
  •  Some shades lack in pigmentation
Final Verdict: I have enjoyed working with the shades even though some shades are not that workable. But I do like this palette and happy that now I have some decent golden and silver shades I can play with :).

Do I suggest this? Oh yes, definitely. It is a wonderful palette but limited to only two colors. So if you want some bundle of gold and silver shades then you should try this.

I hope you all liked my post. Thank You :D

Revlon Colorstay Foundation: Review and Swatches

Hello Everyone :)
Happy Sunday...

Today I am going to talk about one of my favorite foundations. Honestly, I am a big powder fan. I hardly opt for foundation only when I badly needed to use it. I love to stay natural and fresh looks are my first option. :)

I have seen so much rave about this particular foundation among the beauty gurus and in different blogs. You all may already know, I am a big Revlon Fan. I have great expectations from their products and honestly I am damn satisfied. This foundations come in a wide range of colors for both normal to dry and combination to oily skins.

About the Product:
Long wearing coverage with a lightweight formula that won’t cake, fade, or rub off. With Time Release Technology specifically formulated for combination or oily skin to control oil absorption and shine. Your look stays flawless throughout the day.

  • Makeup feels comfortable and wears up to 24 hours.
  •  Medium to full coverage.
  • Comes in 20 beautiful shades.
My take on the Product:
About the packaging first. The foundations come in sturdy transparent glass bottles with a black screw in lid. The bottle is quite heavy, and being a glass material, therefore needed more careful handling. One of the main drawback of this foundation is that, the lid is an open bottle with no squeeze in pump or other means. The product needs to be poured out in order to use, which most times becomes very messy. Moreover, with this kind of open lid, there is more chances of hygienic issues. Another very important drawback is that, as there is no pump, more products may come out which may go to waste.

Now to the best part. Ever wonder why this products have so many positive comments?? Well I do and that is the reason I bought it. And I haven't regret it ever!! I have this for Combination Oily skin and the shade is Warm Golden. The shade is more on the yellow tone. The formula of this foundation is very thick and sometimes it becomes difficult, as i have heard, to match the right shade, being a drugstore brand. The coverage is medium to full, which is the best part of this foundation. The finish is matte, which is a wonderful for usually combination-oily skin, as well as for acne-prone skin. The foundation is known for its staying power. According to my experience, It stayed for around 7-8 hours on my face, after some powder buffing once or twice off course.

One problem faced while applying this foundation is that, the formula dries out quickly. Therefore it has to be applied quickly for a suitable finish. Brush is good to use, but mostly I find my figures to give better finish then brush, The warmth of the figures help the formula to break better on the face, bringing out a smooth finish. It is best to set the powder with foundation, but it is not compulsory for this foundation.

While applying this foundation I use a technique. Usually this foundation looks too white or yellow once applied, but gradually suits to the skin tone. For more natural look, I take a sponge wedge, wet it, squeeze the excess water and pat the wedge on my face and let it dry for a while. This way the foundation blends more nicely and doesn't look cakey.

Pros:
  • Medium to full coverage
  • Matte finish
  • Gives out beautiful coverage and finish.
  • Suitable for acne-prone skin
  • Stays for a long time.
Cons:
  • Glass bottle, risky to handle
  • Hygienic Issues
  • Chances of waste of product
  • Dries out quickly
  • Lots of shades, difficult to find the right one.
  • Thick formula, may get cakey if applied too much.
Overall, the foundation is a must try for them who want medium to full coverage. I love this foundation very much inspite of all the cons. The drawbacks are nothing compared to the after result the foundation gives. And yes, I do suggest to give this foundation a try.

I hope you all liked the post. For more en queries, please comment below. I will like to listen to your view and ideas. Thank You <3

Jordana Matte Lipsticks: Review and Swatches

Hello Everyone :)
After a long vacation from my blog, I am super excited to start writing here again. Well, I have been in a melodrama of my emotional struggle this days and it really feels good to be back to something real and mine :).

So today, I am going to share with you about some local lipsticks. Jordana USA is a very well known brand locally in Bangladesh. The brand Jordana Cosmetics features modern packaging, advanced formulas and trendsetting-shade ranges. These unique distinctions have earned Jordana unparalleled dedication, complete product satisfaction and the subsequent loyalty of consumers.

         ( L-R 42 Terra Cotta, 38 Taupe, 28 Natural, 37 5th Avenue)
 About the Product:
Opaque Matte Coverage
• Non-Drying, Comfortable
• Long Wearing & Non-Feathering
• Velvety-Smooth Feel
• Made In USA

My take on the Product:

Lets begin with the packaging. The lipsticks come in a Golden-ish plastic bullet with a black plastic handle at the end to keep the lipstick in standing position and a transparent white cover lid. From the very look, this packaging looks cheap and breakable but for the price it is good enough.

Now on the product. This lipsticks range in many colors from browns nudes to deep red. I own only specifically four colors, among which two are my most favourite. Many love the fact that they range in different colors and very affordable and available too. Being a lippi fan that I am, one must assume I should own a great many then only this four lipsticks. One thing that really puts me off from buying this lipsticks are the formula. The formula is very hard and not at all moisturizing on the lips. On cracked lips, this looks disastrous!!

( One of the lipstick fell off my hands and broke :( )

                                                                 Swatches

  • 42 Terra Cotta ~ This is a coral-ish orange color that looks beautiful on the lips. I have not expected this orange to look so beautiful, even when swatches it makes me smile. According to  me, this is a must have shade for every girl.
  • 28 Natural ~ This is a very interesting color. Not quite so corals, nor so orange, but gives out a very between orange-pink color. Looks pretty on fair and yellow toned skin. The only drawback is, it gives out a white cast color which is sometimes very irritating.
  • 37 5th Avenue ~ I believe this is an universal color. A beautiful brownish shade, which is not so dark and not even that sheer but works wonderfully as an everyday shade.
  • 38 Taupe ~ I bought this lipstick out of curiosity. On first glance, I did like the color and grabbed it. On the lips it looks good but nothing fancy. It is just another purple-ish pink color but sadly it comes sheer in my lips.

Prons:
  • Variety of colors.
  • Affordable.
  • Available Locally.
  • Looks good on the lips.
  • Non-drying Formula, therefore Matt.
Cons:
  • Cheap Packaging
  • Formula is not so moisturizing
  • Many colors look similar on the range
  • Sheer appearance on the lips.
  • Dry formula, not good for cracked lips.
Overall, this lipsticks are good for a price range of Bdt 140 and works good enough for everyday use. But this are not so wonderful especially for the drying formula and the cheap packaging.
Do I suggest this lipsticks?? Well, this aren't the best, but this aren't so bad to not give this a try at least. Especially being Matt, this lippis are very drying but many may love this kind of lipsticks and I do urge to give this a go. :)

I hope you all liked the post. Thank You <3
