Look Book: Golden Sunset

SUNDAY...means opening your eyes to miserable mornings and running off to that 8 am class as the clock strikes on and you know you are already late!!!

Hello Everyone..

Today I am going to share my second post on the Look Book series. I have already mentioned, I inspire myself from different blogs and looks. I was thinking to experiment something with golden and brown. So one night i thought, why wait for it...and so I took out a sari from my mom and decided to do a whole look around that sari.

(The lighting wasn't that good, Sorry :( )
As it is night time and i was wearing a lovely maroon sari, I went for a dramatic look.

Eyes:~
I named the look~ Golden Sunset because of its combination. I have used 3 different eyeshadow for this look.
  • (1)~ a bright golden color on one half of the lids.
  • (2)~ a bronze brown color on the other half of the lids.
  • (3)~ A dusty purple color to blend on the outer corner of the eyes
  •  a white shadow( forgot to give pic) as a highlighter below eyebrows.
 Face:~
For face, I have used a matte foundation and a peachy blush to compliment the look.
  • Revlon color-stay foundation
  • Jordana Face powder
  • Elf eyebrow kit
  • Elf concealer
  • Elf gel eyeliner
  • Maybellene collasalmascara
  • L'Oreal highlighter( on the water lines)
  • Jordana Blush
 Lips:~
With Flash
I have used Revlon color burst lipstick in coral~ a bright orange color. Loved the way it looked on my lips.

Here is a small flashback~:

I loved the way the look turned out- appropriate for night time parties. As an addition, I curled my hair with plastic rollers ( still trying them) which turned out just lovely and painted my nails in red with hint of silver.

I hope you all enjoyed the look. Do send me your feedback and queries. I will be very happy to share my thoughts with you all. <3

                                                                            Best Wishes

Review: Maybelline Define-A-Line eyeliners...

Hello Lovely Angels...<3

Saturday Mornings are usually good for me knowing it is a holiday..but today...Arggg!! Woke up with a terrible headache. Yet, the day did end well for me with great friends and their lovely company. <3 them...

Something About Me: I am basically a liner girl. If you ever see me in the mornings, you will find me running for my class or chores in the last minute, and the eyeliners come to my rescue :D. My life Savior indeed.pheww!!
I reach for pencils most times as I love experimenting with different colors and always lining my eyes in black kohl does not appeal to me.

So,today I am going to review the Maybellene Define-A-Liners eyeliner. It comes in five shades- i own three of them.
Product Details:

Why You'll Love It
• Precision-tip liner provides smoother, more even, effortless application
• Built-in smudger and sharpener
• All-day wear
• Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers, ophthalmologist-tested

My thought on the product:

I have the liners in shades~ Ebony Black, Chestnut Brown, and Believe in Blue. When i first bought it, I was very skeptical about the product. What intrigued me to buy it was its smudge able brush tip. The packaging of the product is color contrasted, with lids in the same color as the product inside. It is easy to hold, and automatic therefore requires no sharpening.
The pencil glides on smoothly with impressive color payoff. About the smudger, it is of good quality too and does decent job.

Swatches: L to R Chestnut brown, Believe in blue, Ebony black

As you can see from the swatches, the color payoff is very good. My favourite is the blue liner which gives out a bautiful blue color with a little sheen. The black is very dark, when smudged gives out a smoky appearance which i like very much. The brown looks good too but i like it smudged as this can be used as a decent eyeshadow color. What impress me is its formula- very smooth and easy on the eyes. The formula maybe a little oily or it my lids but it doesnot stay longer than 3-4 hours, and at times I have experienced fading.

Pros:
  •  Easy to use
  • Good Pigmentation
  • Glides on easily
  • Smudgeable therefor 2 in 1 product
Cons:
  • Not long wearing
  • Formula maybe a little oily on the lids
Overall, I find this liners very useful on the go with the addition of a smudger to create smoky looks. I like them for my everyday use and will buy them again especially the blue one.

Hope you all liked this post...:)
Good Night everyone..Wish happy Dreams <3

Love For DIY...

Hello Everyone...

I have a great fascination in Do It Your-self. I love anything home made or hand made either its cooking or different things like face masks, soaps, candle making or my very own lip gloss...<3

Very recently, I came across another lovely blog " Green Story". She did a smart DIY of accumulating her spare eye shadows in a customized palette made from a CD box. I found the idea very useful and decided to try it. Thanks to her, I got to De-pot all the not so used eyeshadow in on single palette- and this helps me to remember the shadows i have been neglecting over the ones i reach for often.

This is how my Custom Palette turned out to be....<3
I didn't put much effort in the designing part as I already liked the way it looked- Clear and Colorful....<3

Something About The Palette:
I made it from an old CD box and put some lace to give a personal touch. As for the shades, the round ones are the local brand eyeshadow costing only Taka 15 each. Even though, they sound cheap and the quality is not that impressive but the color payoff is very decent, especially the colorful ones. They are like bamm!! when swatches. The others are random eye shadows from brands like L'Oreal and Maybelline, that i have successfully De-poted into the palette. And finally, the rectangular pan is a wonderful peachy blush from Maybelline that i love so much that i have hit pan on it.

I hope you all liked the idea and will try it at home...

Outfit Of the Day...

Hello Everyone...<3

Today is 26th March...
Happy Independence Day......

And, to celebrate this day, my mom and i decided to visit the Trade Fair happening this whole month of March. I love trade fairs~ the combination of open sky and different stalls with different products always intrigues me. Every year i wait and wait to visit and always take my mom along- she is so like me.:)

So, I want to share with you my Outfit of the day. Nothing fancy, i like simple in the afternoon visits.

My face becomes kinda oily when i sweat, which i do a lot during afternoons- so disappointing!! So, I chose to do minimal makeup.

I have lined my eyes with bright blue, and wore a beautiful pink lipstick to brighten my face. I love this lippi color so much. With tinted moisturizer and slight dust of blush, I am ready and set to go...<3

Products Used:

  • ELF Tinted Moisturizer
  • Jordana Flawless Face Powder ( my everyday powder)
  • ELF Eye primer and line sealer
  • Customized Palette ( made by me)
  • Elf Brow Kit
  • Maybelline Colossal eye liner and mascara
